He filled the glass slowly, with slightly shaking hands before he downed the amber colored liquid in one down. The taste of the whisky spread through his mouth, burned in his throat and stomach as he tried to gather himself enough to explain all this shit. They had left the party early, neither of them all that interested in being among people dressed up as monsters anymore, the experience with Gin had shook up both of them pretty good.
So here they were, in Sanji's apartment, he himself standing in the kitchen to calm down and the marimo sitting on the couch, waiting for the blonde to start the promised explanation. He took a deep breath and grabbed the bottle with the alcohol before he emerged from his domains, entering Zoro's field of vision. The green haired teen looked up at him, no teasing grin grazing his lips anymore as he opened his mouth to speak up as he accepted the bottle.
"You live here alone?"
"Yeah, but sometimes I get company."
Zoro nodded, before taking a deep gulp. "Like the one tonight?" The look in his eyes said it all as he looked at the other, he were starting to get a grip of things now as he had calmed down. So Sanji sat down, nodding and rubbing his face with his hands as he tried to figure out what to say.
But the words didn't seem too keen of coming to him, it wasn't natural for him to tell others about his secret. He had tried to come up with a way while washing, but it hadn't helped for one bit. So he just started with the most simple of things.
"I can see ghosts. And yes, that guy earlier was one. And yes again, sometimes they come here since they have no other place to go and I help them move on."
"Like, giving them a blessing or something like that?"
"Shit no, 'm no priest. I just help them with whatever is keeping them here on Earth. Sending a message to a loved one, finding something lost, stuff like that."
"I see..." The blonde reached for the whisky and drank a mouthfull, the alcohol making his mind slightly foggy but erased the old dirt in his mouth. Whenever he expelled a ghost from a place, it left a bad after taste. He could feel how Zoro's eyes followed him, waited for more words to explain this mess.
"You're not going to call me crazy?" He laughed a little at his own joke, as the marimo took the bottle from his hands and emptied it. Sanji stared at him in schock as he placed it upon the table before them, before he looked at him with dead-serious eyes.
"I saw the guy disappear into thin air with my own eyes. If you're crazy, then so am I."
At those words, something warm welled up inside of his chest. And it wasn't the whisky. Never, ever, had he expected to get such a calm and respectfull reaction to his ability, least of all from this guy. It seemed like the marimo still had some secrets up his sleeve, as he reached up and ruffled Sanji's messy hair.
"So, if I get this straight; you're some kind of medium and can see ghosts and expell them, correct?"
"Yeah. But I can only expell them from one place. So now, Gin can't enter Shanks garden and some of the house."
"Alright. So who is Gin?" The hand had found its way back to Zoro's lap, where it became a fist as the green haired teen avoided his blue gaze.
"Gin is, no, was my boyfriend. But he... turned out slighty more possesive than I had thought."
"Slightly? He's haunting you from beyond the grave!"
"It's not as unusual as you think, normally ghosts can't do a thing." He avoided pointing out that the marimo had one of his own, one who were leaning against the back of the couch right as they spoke. It would just raise too many questions at this moment. "It's when they become solid it gets dangerous. Not that I've ever seen it before."
"Okay... And I guess this place is safe too?"
"Yeah."
Silence fell between them as Zoro relaxed and Sanji tried to get his head around the problem in front of him. He had never in his whole life seen a solid ghost. Sure, Kureha had talked about it, but he had never actually seen one. He were just glad that the spell had worked to expell the spirit as usual, even if it had taken more energy than it used to.
He leaned back against the couch, catching the eye of Kuina who spoke in a calm voice. "I'll go and look for him. Try and relax, I'll warn you if I find something suspicious." As he nodded, he watched her fade away before he turned to the other teen again.
"Oi, marimo." His voice were low as he spoke up and Zoro looked at him, before the blonde pressed his lips gently against his.
