His back ached. His legs ached. His whole body ached after that damn breaking two days ago. Maybe he shouldn't have done that session, gone for another series of movements instead... But it had been so hard to stop once he had started, the ghost girl had just slipped inside of his body and started giving his muscles instructions and a flow to the music which left both him and his onlookers breathless.
Yeah, his onlookers too... The thought made him smirk, finally that marimo had acknowledged him and taken a first step past this stalemate they were in. Sure, it had taken some of his abilities as a medium to get it, but it was the result which counted! And he could move like that even without help, just wasn't his style. But now that interest had been shown, he could start to ask around about the other without feeling like a creep or becoming an idiot.
With that in mind, Sanji leaned his hip against the bench next tot the café's sink where his co-worker were doing the dishes, one who most certainly could provide the blond with the information he wanted. "Yo, Ace. How long have you been breaking?"
"Hmm? Ah, for about eight years, I think. You?"
“Five. How about your little brother and his pals?” Holding up his hand with all five fingers sprawling, the blonde cocks his head to the side in question.
“You mean Lu, Usopp and Zoro? Lu has been it for just as long as me, it was I who got him into it.” A smirk plays over the raven's freckled face as he puts clean plate on the dryer before he puts his hands back into the soapy water and continues. “He was the one who dragged Usopp into it, I'm not really sure when but it was some years ago, longer than Zoro.”
“And what about him?”
“Damn, you're really curious, ain't you? Hehe, oh well, Luffy found him wandering in our area about three years ago. Apparently he had came from the east side to look for 'a good challenge'.”
“East side? That's the opposite end of town!” “What an idiot he is...”
“Isn't he? Oh well, anything else you wanna know about our dear moss-head?”
Jolting a little when Ace suddenly revealed that he knows his intentions, the blonde hide it and instead took a new bite of the apple, chewing thoughtfully as he tried to figure out a new question. After swallowing, he opened his mouth and spoke before taking a new bite. “Where and how did he learn to break?”
“I actually don't know, probably in East. But I think it might have been 'the Harmony' who got him to start with it.”
The revelation chocked Sanji, so a piece of apple got stuck in his throat and Ace had to pound his back with wet hands to try and get it to get loose. After the Snow white-accident, the raven grins and shakes his head. “Yeah, chocking, isn't it?”
“Yeah...” That the marimo would have known 'Kuina the Harmony', one of the most promising breakers ever who had died in an accident involving stairs, that was quite the chock.
“Oh! I have something you might be happy to see!” Still a little bit dizzy, Sanji looked up at the other who started digging in his pockets after his cell. When he finally found it, he scrolled forth a picture he showed up in the other's face.
The blonde accepted the phone and as he looked at the screen he is dearly happy that he isn't eating on the apple right now, since then he would just choke himself once again. On the screen, Zoro is doing a 1990 standing on his right hand. Shirtless. With his upper body glistening with sweat. And even if he is the middle of the motion, it isn't blurry.
But the more Sanji stares at the photo, taking in every detail, he noticed something beside the marimo. A blurry silhouette, but not cause of motion, but instead of the camera's inability to capture the Other side's inhabitants as good as a medium's own eye...
It's a girl. The same girl he had seen follow Zoro at the battles, dressed in the same clothes as any b-girl. Just this time, she's wearing a white, revealing (what was the style called now again? Lolita?) lolita dress as she watched the teen dance. Suddenly, Sanji's hand are empty as Ace took back his cell.
“Wait, can I-” A buzz is heard and the blonde's pocket vibrated, before he pick up his own phone, just to find that he just received a MMS. With exactly the same picture, with exactly the same blurry ghost girl.
“There you go, enjoy! Now please go back to waiting those tables before the boss kick you."
